Acer TC1750 System Unit

Issue:

The unit was sent to us due to a No Display issue accompanied by a long beep sound during boot-up.

According to Acer, a long beep code usually indicates a RAM-related problem, which became my initial suspicion based on the symptoms.

Actions Taken:

1. RAM Cleaning – I cleaned the RAM sticks and their slots. After this, the display returned and the beep sound disappeared. However, after about an hour of monitoring, the issue came back — no display with a long beep sound.

2. GPU Cleaning – I cleaned the GPU, and while the display returned again after the cleaning, the problem reoccurred immediately after restarting.

3. Full System Cleaning – I thoroughly cleaned the entire unit including the motherboard, ports, RAM slots, CPU, and other components.

After the full cleaning, the issue did not return.

Note:
This unit is still fairly new — just about 2 years old — and hasn't been used extensively.
