I recently watched an episode of Toni Talks where Toni Gonzaga interviewed Ryzza Mae.

And honestly, I was deeply humbled by her story.

Despite the success, the blessings, and everything she has achieved, she remained simple, genuine, and kind.

But there was one part of the interview that stayed with me.

She shared a childhood memory when she accidentally broke a small piece of a neighbor’s vase.

The neighbor told her:

“Mas mahal pa ’to sa buhay mo.”

Maybe it was spoken out of frustration.
Maybe it was meant as a joke.
Maybe the person who said it forgot about it the next day.

But Ryzza didn’t.

She remembered it years later.

And that struck me.

Imagine a six-year-old child carrying those words into adulthood.

That’s the thing about words.

The one who speaks them may forget them.
The one who receives them may remember them for a lifetime.

“The tongue has the power of life and death.”
Proverbs 18:21

As I listened to her story, I found myself crying.

Because it reminded me of how many people are silently carrying words spoken over them years ago.

Words that made them feel unwanted.
Words that made them feel less than enough.
Words that made them question their worth.

Sometimes we underestimate the impact of what we say.

A sentence can become a scar.
A comment can become a wound.
A careless remark can stay in someone’s heart longer than we realize.

And then came the plot twist.

The very house where that painful incident happened…

She eventually bought it.

The place where she once felt hurt became a testimony of how far God had brought her.

What once made her feel small became a reminder of God’s faithfulness.

What a beautiful picture of redemption.

To all of us, let us be careful with our words.
Not everyone is fighting battles we can see.
Not everyone forgets what we say.
Please be kind.

Speak life.
Speak encouragement.
Speak with grace.

Because sometimes the words we consider small become the words someone remembers forever.

And to Ms. Ryzza Mae Dizon thank you for sharing your story…

I am deeply humbled by your life, your humility, and your kindness.

I pray that the Lord continues to bless you, guide you, and grant the desires of your heart as you continue to pursue the dreams He has placed within you. ❤️‍🔥
