A few years back, my Extra 260 was still fairly new when I had my first real scare.

Mid knife edge pass, a gust hit her and the orientation just went completely off. I froze for a second, then panicked, then jammed the sticks. Not my finest moment.

She went down. But somehow, the damage wasn’t catastrophic. Shoutout to the skillful hands and mind of the gentleman who repaired her, and to Mightyblue Hobby Shop for coming through with the parts. She was back in the air in just a few days.

Truth is, you will crash in this hobby. Doesn’t matter how experienced you are. Wind, pilot error, mechanical failure. Something will get you eventually.
