𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 |𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐂𝐀𝐄𝐃 𝟓𝟎𝟎 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬’ 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞.

The Culmination Program is conducted not only because it is the final requirement, but because it plays a vital role in the holistic development of every student. It provides a space where academic learning meets real-world application a space where students can demonstrate confidence, communication, professionalism, and creativity in one meaningful event.

Through 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝟏.𝟒.𝟔 students are challenged to articulate their identity, showcase their personal branding, and communicate ideas with clarity and impact. This component includes four performance categories: Drama, Vlogging, Newscasting, and Sports Call, each designed to enhance their creativity, confidence, and communication skills.

The 𝗠𝗿. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗔𝗘𝗗 Competition, on the other hand, serves as a training ground for leadership, confidence, stage presence, and interpersonal communication qualities that employers value and expect.

Beyond being a requirement, the CAED Culmination is a transformative experience one that molds character, strengthens professionalism, and affirms the students’ readiness for the world beyond the campus walls.

The University of Mindanao (UM) has achieved another significant milestone in global recognition, debuting in the expanded AppliedHE Private University Ranking All Asia. Following its success in the AppliedHE ASEAN ranking last year, the University has dramatically broadened its reach by securing the 188th rank in Asia and an impressive 17th rank in the Philippines.

This achievement is a clear validation of UM's strategic commitment to holistic quality and global competitiveness. The AppliedHE ranking assesses institutions across six crucial pillars: Teaching and Learning, Employability, Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. UM’s strong performance across these diverse metrics confirms its leadership not only in delivering quality education but also in creating measurable, positive impact within the community.

This recognition affirms UM's continuous pursuit of excellence across all facets of university operation—from empowering its graduates for the workforce to deepening its research and community involvement. As the ranking agency expands its scope to cover all of Asia, UM remains dedicated to enhancing its services and solidifying its position as a globally engaged university and a source of pride for the Mindanao region.

From the Land of the Ascending Dragon to the Land of a Thousand Islands — HOME SWEET HOME!

After four weeks of teaching, learning, and cultural exchange abroad, the 11th Batch of SEA-Teacher Exchange participants has finally returned home! These aspiring educators proudly represented the University of Mindanao Tagum College and the Philippines during their practicum in partner universities across Southeast Asia.

The SEA-Teacher Exchange Program 2025, an initiative of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), provides pre-service education students with the opportunity to gain international teaching experience through cross-country practicums. The program aims to enhance participants’ pedagogical skills, English proficiency, and intercultural competence while expanding their regional and global perspectives.

Through this transformative experience, our SEA-Teachers have not only honed their craft as future educators but also served as ambassadors of Filipino excellence and hospitality in the global academic community.
