Wisdom from God gives us instructions not just in the things we should do, but also in the things we should not do.

When we are bitter, angry, discontented, slanderous, gossiping, and hateful, we grieve the Holy Spirit within us, if so be that He is within us. When we sin in any form, we grieve God's Holy Spirit. For He is, after all, the "holy" Spirit, and all unholiness offends Him. His desire is to lead us in the paths of holiness and to impart to us all holiness of soul.
