Is there truth to it?

Awhile ago, we had a friendly argument about the crystal difference between celebrating mother’s day and father’s day. We observed that when it’s a mother’s day, the celebration seemed all out—family took their time to go out and dine together—everyone looking sharp & behaved, and warm. During Father’s day, however, the usual greetings are still given but the celebration doesn’t look the same as when it’s the mother being celebrated. Most often that not, orders are placed to go.

Ivan butted in, “you know what fathers truly want on days like this?”

“What?”, we asked.

“They just want to be left alone and be allowed to do what they want that day.”
