Last part of our Cadet Attachment Program, we organized a simulation exercise for Incident Command System. The scenario revolved around a high profile Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL) attending a court hearing, with a crowd gathered outside the Justice Hall awaiting the court's decision. Demonstrators protested against what they deemed an unacceptable court ruling. Unexpectedly, while the PDL was being transported back to Malvar City Jail, unknown assailants fatally shot the PDL. Subsequently, the shooters fled to Landbank, leading to a hostage situation at Crime Scene Plaza, Silang Cavite. In response, an Incident Command System was promptly established. A Crisis Management Task Group, comprising various government agencies such as the PNP, BFP, BJMP, Coast Guard, and others, was immediately activated. An assault team was put on standby for deployment in case negotiations failed. Additionally, support personnel were requested, including an ambulance with medical crew and a fire truck.

The simulation exercise was crucial for polishing our tactical skills and underlining the need for adaptability in our responses to situations. It also highlighted how different agencies like the PNP, BJMP, and BFP can work together effectively in exercises focused on the Incident Command System. From this activity we realized the importance of fast action, which required the expertise of the different agencies of the government. These simulations not only improve our crisis management abilities but also promote collaboration among agencies. It's clear that by training together, we can respond more efficiently to future challenges, ensuring public safety remains our top priority.

Today, following a red alert warning from the provincial director of a potential ambush, we initiated a simulation exercise focused on our Station Defence Plan. Acting swiftly upon receiving the alert, we established a checkpoint to monitor enemy movements and secured our area of responsibility without delay. At midnight, the New Peoples Army launched a surprise attack, compelling us to execute our predetermined defense strategy. This simulation exercise gives us a deep understanding of where our station might be vulnerable to threats. It helps us spot weaknesses before they're a problem. We learn how to put in place security measures and create plans for how to react in different situations. This way, we can lower the risks and protect not just people but also important stuff like buildings and secret information.

At the Rizal Police Station, a ceremonial "Turn Over of Command" marked the transition from outgoing Chief of Police, PLTCOL CHRISTIAN JEROES RICALDE, to incoming Chief of Police, PLTCOL AYANNA ALEXI CODIAMAT OCFEMIA. This event served as a vital learning opportunity for cadets, emphasizing the importance of leadership customs. Additionally, during a night duty, cadets simulated serving a search warrant, swiftly transitioning into Mission Planning. Amidst this, urgent cases involving Child Abuse Act violations and a battered woman underscored their role in safeguarding women and children's welfare, ensuring justice and protection for victims.

Participating in a simulated Buy-Bust Operation during our Cadet Attachment Program was an invaluable experience guided by PLTCOL JAIME RAFAEL NADELA. It emphasized strategic planning, communication, and protocol adherence for operation success and safety. Facing diverse scenarios, we applied learned skills in surveillance, evidence gathering, and apprehension techniques, enhancing our understanding of law enforcement. This immersive experience highlights the weight of our future roles as guardians of public safety and justice.

In response to a bank robbery and shooting, our team swiftly executed a Hasty checkpoint operation to detain suspects and secure the area. The aim was to control access points, preventing suspect escape. This proactive approach facilitated quick suspect identification and ensured justice for victims. The checkpoint heightened situational awareness, allowing for effective intelligence gathering and coordinated responses. Its visible presence reassured the community of law enforcement's commitment to public safety. Overall, the Hasty checkpoint was crucial for swift incident management, deterring culprits and maintaining order.
