Happy 2nd Graduation Anniversary, Masidtalak!
MARCH 10, 2023 - Two beautiful years ago - Our families, friends, and fellow Lakans stood proud for the commencement of our incredible journey inside the Academy and the challenging start of our commissionship. We are now filled with gratitude for the challenges we faced and the memories we created together, "PARANG KAILAN LANG". Those four walls witnessed our growth and determination, shaping us into the officers we are today. As we celebrate our two incredible years in service, let’s continue to inspire and mold one another to serve in the Tri-bureaus: PNP, BJMP, and BFP. Here’s to the bonds we’ve formed and the bright futures ahead.
Together, we can achieve great things through our humble beginnings. SIC PARVIS MAGNA!

''Leadership is the sum of those qualities of intellect, human understanding, and human character that enables a person to inspire and control a group of people successfully.'' -John A. Lejeune
It is necessary to take action with an understanding of what often occurs in a Police Station. An exercise that simulates a circumstance and demonstrates how cadets will respond based on what they have seen during Station Immersion, a description of the supervisor's scoring and grading criteria, including how they protect against sudden attacks, accidents, and involvements in societal problems. Depending on their responsibilities, cadets are grouped into numerous sections. Supervisors will take on the roles of the perpetrators and community members with whom the cadets interact. This Cadet Attachment Program – Case Based Scenario is a vital tool for the cadet to enlighten their minds on the world outside the portals of the Academy. An exciting and challenging activity, as stated by the CAP Supervisors, but the cadets are ready to unfold new bodies of knowledge by accepting new challenges.
Each fall, when I gather my graduate students for the first time in my strategic leadership course, I begin by offering a thought. Traditionally, when we teach decision-making, our focus is sufficiency: leaders must learn to make the best decisions possible with the information available to them at the time. Instead, our focus should be temporal: leaders must learn to make qualitatively better decisions faster than their opponents. Or, in the case of a non-competitive environment, faster than the situation around them evolves. In the art of decision-making, time is the one resource you will always need more than sufficient quantity. Acknowledging the scarcity of time compels the decision-maker to confront a fundamental dilemma: the longer a decision is delayed, the higher the likelihood of failure. As a result, influential leaders must learn to embrace risk, forge intuition, and relentlessly seek the types of experiences that fuel judgment. Such leaders recognize that they will always need more clarity of information to make a perfect decision. Their decisions are bold, audacious, and often “gut calls” driven by phronesis: a practical form of wisdom derived from learning and experience.[1]
A leader must be able to develop new leaders in addition to being able to lead themselves. Being a leader isn't judged by one's capacity to hang onto a position of authority but by one's ability to do so. To lead oneself, one must be flexible and adaptable to the situation. Life may present problems, and these traits are essential. The proper role of an officer in public is far more than managing a small group of underclassmen in the Institution. Decisions for your future pursuits will be wise and timely due to your more profound understanding and exploration of wisdom.

''Creativity requires the courage to let go of certainties'' -Erich Fromm
Though we cannot alter genetic factors, we can alter behavior through the manipulation of the environment in which the individual lives. It is found that culture, family atmosphere, and education play significant roles in the development of creative talent. “Creativity flourishes when creative behavior is encouraged.[1]
The results of a creative mind with a good vision are beneficial. A great practice of the City Mobile Force Company and Naga City Police Office, led by their engaged and encouraging Force Commander PLTCOL ROMMEL LABARRO, is where members of the CMFC and NCPO repurpose their worn-out uniforms to make flower pots. They shape it into a pot and sell it to the public instead of giving it to the Logistics Section for disposal. The funds received for the project above were used to cover additional office costs. The notion is also taught to Naga City inhabitants as part of a livelihood seminar. The higher Offices have already given this idea honor and praise. As a future officer, this initiative is appropriate to be accepted by all PNP offices. As an officer, you may maintain ties to the community since you can earn money via it and offer this livelihood program to the general public as a means of livelihood.
Being a leader requires imagination in addition to tactical and strategic ex*****on. Utilizing supplies and accessories ordinarily discarded as obsolete could result in significant cost savings for your office. The initiative to make flower pots out of used, tattered, and torn PNP uniforms will provide new options for the staff in your department. The office may spend this initiative's proceeds on station and other administrative costs. Creativity is essential for achieving success.

''An organization ability to LEARN, and translate that learning into ACTION rapidly is the ultimate COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE'' -Jack Welch
Technological eyes and ears. Instead of hiring more law enforcers, similar to hiring more elevator boys and girls and various other nonproductive service workers, who do not contribute to physical wealth creation, government must make use of technologies. Closed-circuit television, for instance, which is increasingly getting cheaper, can be installed all over, so you won’t need too many cops, security guards, barangay tanod, etc., to achieve security. They can serve as the PNP’s technological eyes and ears. And for those displaced, mobilize and train them into new jobs designed to build the numerous infrastructure and livelihood projects being planned for agriculture and manufacturing all over the country. In the drive to bust criminality, the Philippines must keep up with its neighbors and keep in step with the advances in technology as the smartest and most effective way to reduce crime and corruption.[1]
During today's tour of duty, the Masidtalak Class of 2023 members were introduced to many of the most cutting-edge technologies used by the PNP. The observation centers on the administrative section, where a senior police non-commissioned officer on duty talks about documents and records stored in a networked system connected to PNP National Headquarters. Future officers must not only adopt but also investigate and comprehend its workings. A leader may only be an expert in some fields, but it would be much better to understand subjects outside his expertise. The role of an officer is essential and challenging, therefore, embrace innovation across the PNP organization and learn to deal with people daily.
