# 2 in the list is Monolaurin.
#2 Monolaurin - Monolaurin is the monoglyceride of lauric acid, derived from coconut oil. It is used to promote immune system health, and specifically as an antiviral against infections like influenza. The antiviral activity is derived from its ability to interrupt the outer membrane of enveloped viruses, interfere with viral signal transduction, assembly and maturation. It can be used for prophylaxis and acute treatment of the flu. My favorite product is Lauricidin Monolaurin pellets, and I tell my patients to start low and go slow.

Researchers at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York showed it can directly activate growth in triple-negative breast cancer cells - an aggressive form of the disease whichmakes up about 15% of all breast cancer cases.
