The Schools Division of Santa Rosa City through the SGOD-School Health Section conducted the School Midyear Program Implementation Review of School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) and Other Oplan Kalusugan (OK) sa DepEd Programs cm Orientation of Health Programs last November 12-13, 2025 at Red Hotel, Cubao, Quezon City.
The activity aimed to achieve the following: a) present and consolidate the School Accomplishment Reports for SBFP and other OK sa DepEd Programs; b) generate information on the impact of SBFP on the nutritional status of the beneficiaries; c) facilitate learning exchange of schools in their OK sa DepEd program implementation; d) address issues and concerns encountered during program implementation; e) determine the need for orientation of new program coordinators as basis for planning; f) present plans and updates for program implementation; and g) recognize schools and school program implementers.
The participants of this activity were the School Heads/OIC/Representatives, SBFP Coordinators, WinS Coordinators, GPP Coordinators, Health Coordinators, School Health Section Personnel, and SDO SBFP TWG.
Through this activity, the different issues and concerns were identified and served as basis for planning of action to improve program implementation. It also highlighted the best practices employed by schools for effective implementation. Suggestions and other ways to strengthen implementation in the different levels of management were also tackled and noted for reporting.
During the Closing Program, winners and participants of the Division Search for the Best Infomercial on Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd Program Implementation and the schools who achieved Three-Stars in their WinS Implementation for School Year 2024-2025 were recognized.

The SGOD-School Health Section in cooperation with the Food Safety and Hygiene Academy of the Philippines (FoodSHAP) conducted the Batch 2: Basic Food Safety Training to School-Based Feeding Program Coordinators, School Health Coordinators, and School Health Section Personnel today, October 22, 2025 at the Bulwagang Arcillas, SDO Building.
This activity focused on the concepts of Level 2 of the Basic Food Safety which includes the discussion on the importance of hygiene, food hazards, time and temperature control, and flow of food to name a few.
This activity will help ensure that all personnel involved in the SBFP implementation and School Canteen operations are equipped with the appropriate knowledge to ensure that food safety practices are observed which will reduce the risk of food-borne illnesses and cross-contamination.

On the second day of the training, the participants of the Basic Food Safety took their examination as part of their certification in the Level 2 Basic Food Safety Training. Likewise, DepEd Order No. 8, s. 2007 and DepEd Order 13, s. 2017 were discussed to orient/re-orient the School Canteen Managers on the pertinent points of canteen management and healthy food and beverage choices.
While on the other hall, the SBFP School Implementers presented their school inventories and workshop outputs. The discussions were facilitated by the SDO SBFP Technical Working Group to ensure that the school procurement process will be timely and smooth.
