My Deer Friend Nokotan - Shikairo Days (TV Size) (Ska/Metalcore Collab Cover)

This was first made way back in October 2024 in collaboration with Chino Gellada. Since he’s currently busy touring with Forgetting69, as well as recording for Peculiar Records and the debut album of his other band Hardrake, I’ll just post my drum part here.

Storytime: I’ve first heard that song in an anime convention after coming from Bevitore the other night. I said my other congoer friend “What if the intro is meant to 2-step instead of doing the dance in the OP?”. Then that birthed my idea of arranging this from the ground up.

I sped that song initially to 190 BPM in my DAW, but I found it a bit slow. After speeding it up by 1.1x in my smartphone’s music player, I found the sweet spot at 209 BPM, giving it more of an energetic and upbeat feeling.
