LAC Session | Strengthening Classroom-Based Assessment

Committed to continuous professional growth and quality instruction, the teaching force of Caingin Elementary School actively participated in a Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on the Provision of Technical Assistance on Classroom-Based Assessment Across Key Stages, anchored on DepEd Order No. 15, s. 2026. The session was facilitated by our School Principal, Ma'am Rodella G. Mendoza, who provided valuable guidance on strengthening assessment practices that are fair, learner-centered, standards-based, and aligned with the MATATAG Curriculum.

The session aimed to deepen teachers' understanding of effective classroom-based assessment, enhance the quality of assessment tools and strategies, promote the appropriate use of assessment results to improve teaching and learning, and ensure consistency in implementing national assessment policies across all key stages.

To uphold the uninterrupted delivery of instruction, the LAC Session was conducted after the instructional period, in accordance with existing DepEd guidelines that ensure professional development activities do not disrupt or diminish learners' contact time. This reflects our commitment to balancing continuous teacher development with the provision of quality learning experiences for every learner.

Through collaborative learning, professional dialogue, and shared best practices, Caingin Elementary School continues to empower its educators in fostering meaningful, evidence-based, and learner-responsive assessment that supports improved educational outcomes.

Another milestone has been achieved as Caingin Elementary School proudly becomes one of the recipient schools of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Free Wi-Fi for All Program, now powered through Starlink satellite internet technology.

With this significant initiative, our school community can now enjoy faster and more reliable internet connectivity, providing our learners and teachers with better access to online educational resources, digital learning platforms, virtual trainings, research materials, and other technology-enhanced opportunities that support quality education.

This project reflects the government's commitment to bridging the digital divide by bringing internet connectivity even to schools where traditional internet services may be limited. Through DICT's efforts and the use of Starlink's satellite technology, we are one step closer to creating a more connected, innovative, and future-ready learning environment for every CESian.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and everyone who made this initiative possible. Your support empowers our school to embrace digital transformation and continuously improve the learning experience of our pupils.

Together, we connect. Together, we learn. Together, we grow.
