Project Eunoia
Our name, which means "beautiful thinking" in Greek, reflects our desire to raise mental health awareness through social media to improve quality of life and make the world a better and kinder place for all. Project Eunoia is made possible through the concerted efforts of the Fourth Year BS Psychology practicum students of Saint Louis College, City of San Fernando, La Union.

Acknowledging and Deconstructing Emotional Armors
Healing begins when we feel safe enough to lower our guards. Through this talk, residents explored the "emotional armors" we often build to stay safe, learning how to transform these defenses into authentic self-awareness and strength.
From deep self-reflection and identifying coping patterns to fostering empathy and trust, each discussion became a bridge to deeper interpersonal connection. By softening these armors, we create space for genuine expression and the mutual support needed for a lasting recovery.
Every layer shed is a step toward freedom. Every shared experience is a seed of hope.

On March 24, 2026, the Treatment and Rehabilitation Center–La Union became a space of energy, teamwork, and transformation through our activity: 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐞: 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 🏃🏻✨
Designed for the center's male residents, this initiative went beyond fun and games—it became a meaningful step toward recovery. Through interactive challenges, trust-building activities, and teamwork, participants were given the opportunity to rebuild communication, strengthen trust and cooperation, and rediscover their strengths within a safe and supportive environment.
Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, this initiative highlights the importance of promoting mental health, supporting recovery, and fostering inclusive environments that empower individuals to heal, grow, and reintegrate into society. 🌱
In this journey, we celebrate not only the completion of the race but also the perseverance and commitment it takes to keep moving forward. ❤️🩹

People Who Use Drugs (PWUDs) have stories untold, stories of pain, survival, and silent battles. Some used substances to heal their minds, to escape a reality too heavy to carry… but what once felt like relief turned into deeper misery. It satisfies their mind and body, but afterwards it makes them nobody.
Behind their struggles, they are human beings who do not deserve judgment, but understanding. Not rejection, but compassion.
They deserve a chance to change. They deserve to be heard, to be loved, and to live peacefully, becoming a better version of themselves.

Stigma doesn’t heal—understanding does.
For too long, people who use drugs (PWUDs) have been judged and pushed aside without knowing their stories. What they truly need is compassion, support, and access to care. Substance use is often linked to deeper issues like mental health, trauma, and social challenges—not simply a matter of choice.
The way we speak matters. Research shows that person-centered, non-stigmatizing language improves how people with substance use disorders are perceived and treated (Volkow et al., 2021), while supportive and inclusive environments help promote well-being and better outcomes (Wogen et al., 2020).
When we replace judgment with empathy and listen instead of assume, we create safe spaces for people to seek help. Change begins with us. Let’s be part of the conversation that humanizes, not harms.
