It is with heavy hearts but also with gratitude and remembrance for our beloved Hon. Dodoy C. Rafael, whose life was dedicated to serving our community and shaping a brighter future for the youth of Runruno. As we reflect on his life, we honor his unwavering commitment and his instrumental role in the creation of Runruno National High School—a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come.
Hon. Rafael, when he was still the barangay captain, understood the transformative power of education. Recognizing the potential of our youth and the barriers they faced in accessing quality learning, he tirelessly pushed for the establishment of our local high school. His vision was not just about building a school, but about opening doors of opportunity—giving our young people a chance to learn, grow, and aspire beyond boundaries.
Thanks to his dedication, Runruno National High School now stands as a beacon of hope and progress. It has become a place where dreams are nurtured, talents are discovered, and futures are shaped. The impact on our youth has been profound: more students are able to pursue higher education without the burden of long commutes or significant expenses. Our children can now study locally, stay close to their families, and still access quality education that prepares them for the challenges of the world.
This achievement has empowered our young generation, instilling in them confidence and motivation. It has fostered a sense of pride in our community, showing that with unity and perseverance, we can create opportunities and uplift each other.
Let us honor his memory by continuing his advocacy for education and community development. Let us cherish his vision and work together to ensure that the fruits of his labor—our school, our youth's future—continue to flourish.
May his soul rest in eternal peace, knowing that his efforts have sown seeds of hope that will grow for many years to come.

District, school heads visit WI learners
The district-in-charge (DIC) of Quezon, including other school heads (SHs), monitored the last batch of Runruno National High School (RNHS) work immersion (WI) learners deployed at the FCF Minerals Corporation, Runruno, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya, today, May 2, 2024.
Rubilyn C. Gajo, DIC of Quezon district, together with Mickael A. Raymundo, SH of RNHS and two other school heads visited the grade 12 learners taking Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics who were assigned at the different offices or departments of the company specifically at the MEPEO, Safety Department and Clinic.
In the short conversation with the doctor at the clinic of the company, the DIC asked how is the performance of the learners. The doctor gave positive feedbacks and he also made mention that career choices become clearer to the learners because of the WI.
FCF Minerals Corporation has been the lone WI partner of RNHS since the WI was implemented in 2017 and, since 2023, expenses related to the implementation of WI are charged to company's Corporate Social Responsibility.
Work Immersion is a subject of the Senior High School Curriculum, which involves hands-on experience or work simulation in which learners can apply their competencies and acquired knowledge relevant to their track as defined in DepEd Order No. 30, s. 2017.
