"Master of the Battlefield, no matter the terrain" 🌆

ADMU ROTC cadets engaged into the high-intensity world of Close Quarters Battle (CQB) under the instruction of the 720th Special Operations Wing. CQB, a crucial combat skill, emphasizes precision, coordination, and rapid decision-making in confined spaces, particularly in Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT), where engagements occur at close range with little margin for error.

From phases of action to types of attacks, they absorbed the fundamentals of urban warfare. Afterwhich, subject matter experts performed a live demonstration, allowing cadets to observe, analyze, and internalize key tactics before executing them in real-time scenarios.

Cadets then formed into their designated squads for the practical phase, where they applied their knowledge and refined their combat effectiveness through simulated engagements. Using lessons from the lecture and insights from the live demo, they honed their ability to clear rooms, navigate urban structures, and respond to threats with precision and control.

This training sharpened the cadets’ tactical instincts, reinforcing their ability to think fast, move decisively, and operate effectively under pressure, essential qualities for any leader in the field.

"Discipline is the bridge between training and victory."🎖️

ADMU ROTC cadets leveled up their tactical prowess with the second portion of Small Unit Tactics, led by military experts from the 720th Special Operations Wing. This session ensured cadets not only mastered squad-based maneuvers but also internalized the strategic mindset essential for combat leadership.

Cadets assembled into their designated squads, fine-tuning their formation discipline and movement techniques. They kicked off with a rigorous practice run, sharpening team coordination and battlefield communication before advancing to full-scale tactical exercises.

The practical phase put the cadets’ skills to the ultimate test by executing Immediate Action Drills (IADs) with precision and urgency, responding to ambushes, withdrawing under enemy fire, and managing unpredictable civilian encounters. Each maneuver demanded our students split-second decision-making, adaptability, and unwavering composure under pressure.

With every drill, they honed their instincts, forged unbreakable unit cohesion, and embodied the grit of a true soldier, disciplined, tactical, and mission-ready.

ADMU ROTC held its 5th training day to cover the first component of Small Unit Tactics. This session focused on movement, squad formations, and reaction to enemy contact led by military experts from the 720th Special Operations Wing

The training began with a comprehensive lecture on the fundamentals of formations, roles, and rules of engagement. Cadets were then divided into seven-man squads and taught how to move in formations, respond to enemy engagements, and break contact. The practical exercise for these lessons reinforced teamwork, adaptability, and the importance of decisive action under pressure. Beyond enriching the cadets' tactical skills in coordinating themselves as a team, this training day develops their leadership and situational awareness, of which are vital for a competent and disciplined leader.

As the semester progresses, ADMU ROTC cadets will continue to dislay their skills, abilities, and excellence in preparing themselves for the demands of leadership and service to the nation.

Boots back on the ground ready to face Air Science 2 with Discipline and Excellence! 🥾

ADMU ROTC returns to Bellarmine Field for the first time this semester, marking the beginning of another semester of discipline and excellence. Cadets were joined by the Military Training Instructors (MTIs) and their respective Flight Leaders to have a comprehensive review of the Drills and Ceremonies learned in the previous semester’s Air Science 1. With sharp focus and coordination, each flight assembled into their respective formations, ensuring that every movement reflected the standards expected of a snappy ADMU ROTC cadet.

At the end of the training day, cadets were able to put their skills to the test in a competition between flights. Each flight demonstrated unity, precision, teamwork, and excellence.

This training day set the tone for the challenges and exciting training days ahead as we continue to uphold discipline, teamwork, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Onward, ADMU ROTC!
