Prosperidad Agusan del Sur – The Philippine Normal University Mindanao ROTC Unit, through its official media arm, the Digital Squad, presents this edition of “THE ARCH”, documenting the successful conduct of the 1st and 2nd Battalion Formations and team-building activities held as part of the Military Science 1 and Military Science 2 curriculum.

As fundamental elements of ROTC instruction, the battalion formations were designed to develop cadets’ military bearing, proficiency in drill and ceremonies, and comprehensive understanding of organizational structure and command hierarchy. These practical sessions allowed students to apply theoretical concepts learned in the classroom to actual field settings, ensuring mastery of fundamental military standards and operational protocols.

Complementing the training drills, team-building activities were organized to strengthen interpersonal relationships and collective cohesion within the corps. Through structured group tasks and collaborative exercises, participants honed their communication skills, built mutual trust, and cultivated a strong sense of unity—qualities that are vital for establishing a disciplined, coordinated, and effective military unit. These experiences are highlighted in our publication, showcasing how such activities shape the character and capabilities of every cadet.

Beyond technical skill development, these activities served as platforms to instill the core values of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps: discipline, leadership, camaraderie, and public service. The dedication and exemplary conduct displayed by the cadets reflect their commitment to character building and preparation for future service to the nation.

This publication serves as an official record of the unit’s consistent commitment to fulfilling its mandate: to train and develop competent, ethical, and purpose-driven future officers who possess both technical expertise and strong moral character.

Their achievement reflects not only academic excellence, but also the values they strengthened through their experiences in ROTC — discipline, responsibility, leadership, resilience, and commitment to service. While their paths and journeys may have differed, each of them once became part of the organization and contributed their time, effort, and dedication in service to the corps.

As they begin a new chapter in their professional journey, may they continue to embody the principles they learned both inside the classroom and within the ROTC community. May they remain instruments of excellence, integrity, and patriotism in the field of education and beyond.
