Funny how one line from a movie can wake up a part of you you’ve been ignoring for years.

A few years ago, I genuinely thought I was okay with being a housewife.

Taking care of my children. Looking after my husband. Managing the home.

And honestly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

But then I watched Hello, Love, Goodbye.

There’s a line from Joy that really stayed with me:

“I want more. I want to be more.”

And something about that hit me.

Not because being a wife and mother wasn’t enough.

But because deep down, I realised… maybe I was capable of more too.

The truth is, I didn’t even graduate college, so there was a lot of hesitation at first.

A lot of self-doubt.

I kept thinking, Who would hire me? Can I really do this?

But I made a decision anyway.

I decided to learn how to become a Virtual Assistant.

No experience. No expertise. No clear roadmap.

Just me, YouTube, short courses, learning tools, researching, studying, and figuring things out as I went.

And if I’m being real, it wasn’t easy.

I faced rejection.

A lot of it.

The kind that makes you question yourself and wonder if this path is even meant for you.

But I kept going.

Because when you’ve already decided you want something different, going back starts to feel harder than trying.

Today, I work as a Digital Marketing Specialist for a foreign brand.

And when I look back, I know God has blessed me so much.

But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

A different life often starts with one decision.

The decision to try.

The decision to learn.

The decision to keep going, even when you have no proof yet that it will work.

Sometimes we think successful people are just more talented.

But often, they just made a decision that others were too afraid to make.

If you’re feeling stuck, maybe this is your reminder that your life can change too.
