One of its major offerings is the Adaptive Governance and Innovation for Local Executives (AGILE) Program which aims to equip the local government leaders and key functionaries with the knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, tools and methodologies for an adaptive and inclusive local governance.

The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) successfully capped an intensive three-day training-workshop on the Trabaho Para sa Bayan (TPB) - Workforce Development Planning for pilot LGUs in Tagaytay City!

From deep dives into labor dynamics with national experts to immersive foresight-based mapping and community field visits, our local leaders from the Provinces of Bataan and Batangas, as well as the Cities of San Fernando (La Union) and Tuguegarao (Cagayan), are now equipped to draft data-driven, locally responsive Workforce Development Plans that position LGUs as the ultimate enablers of economic transformation.

The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), in partnership with the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev), officially kicked off the three-day ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ -๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ ๐จ๐ง ๐“๐ซ๐š๐›๐š๐ก๐จ ๐๐š๐ซ๐š ๐ฌ๐š ๐๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ง (๐“๐๐) โ€“ ๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐œ๐ž ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  (๐–๐ƒ๐) ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐‹๐จ๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐†๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ (๐‹๐†๐”๐ฌ) on May 11, 2026, at the DAP Conference Center, Tagaytay City.

๐ƒ๐„๐๐ƒ๐ž๐ฏ ๐”๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐‘๐จ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ž ๐†. ๐„๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ง and ๐ƒ๐€๐โ€™๐ฌ ๐€๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐„๐ฑ๐ž๐œ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐•๐ข๐œ๐ž-๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐Œ๐š๐ ๐๐š๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐š ๐‹. ๐Œ๐ž๐ง๐๐จ๐ณ๐š graced the opening program and welcomed the participants who represent stakeholders from the Provinces of 1Bataan and Batangas; and the Cities of San Fernando, La Union; and Tuguegarao, Cagayan.

Day 1 session started with Usec. Edillonโ€™s session on the Philippine labor market, the TPB Act, and Plan for 2025-2034, the priority strategies and industries, and future-proofing of the labor market. This was followed by the sessions of ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐„๐ฆ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐ฎ๐ž๐ฅ ๐…. ๐„๐ฌ๐ ๐ฎ๐ž๐ซ๐ซ๐š on workforce situation; and of Department of Labor and Employment ๐ƒ๐ข๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ค ๐. ๐๐š๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐ฐ๐ข๐ซ๐š๐ฐ๐š๐ง, ๐‰๐ซ. who discussed the multi-stakeholder labor market governance. By applying foresight planning approaches, the participants are expected to draft their WDPs that are aligned with local priorities and the rapidly evolving future of work.
