great news but not all test are created equal

the chart below shows how hard it is to detect Delta and Omicron compared to other variants, how high a load you need.

to detect Omicron, very high viral load is needed, upwards from about 3.34x10¹⁰ PFU/ml
only one test stands out, Flowflex by ACON Biotech, a US company. it can detect Omicron as early as about 2.43x10¹⁰ PFU/ml

so Omicron will probably turn out negative using less sensitive Ag tests we have in the PH, if you find out late or ACT late then it may mean allowing virus to replicate unfettered (not a good idea) so if you have symptoms DONT WAIT, TREAT AND ISOLATE. Omicron may look milder than Delta but that doesn't tell us the long term effects so please TREAT. Omicron also seems to have a longer duration so please ISOLATE for at least 11 days
