Ever since Kawhi left the Spurs, fans have always booed him every time he touched the ball. That’s 13 games over 4 years of straight boos.

And tonight, Gregg Popovich had enough.

In the 2nd quarter while Kawhi was shooting free throws, Pop grabbed the mic, and called out his own fans.

“Show some class, that’s not who we are. Knock off the booing.”

What’s crazy is after that statement, Spurs booed Kawhi even louder.

Booing your former Finals MVP, and then booing louder after the coach who brought you 5 rings asked not to.

Spurs fans might need to look inward, and remember WHY we play this game.

Not for the hate of a player, but for the love of the game.
