Energy is only as strong as its ability to reach the grid at the right time.
First Gen Renewables recently commissioned three new battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Bac-Man, Southern Negros, and Tongonan, adding a combined 40MW/40MWh of capacity to complement generation.
BESS operates like large-scale power banks, storing excess geothermal output when supply is high and releasing it during peak demand or outages.

First Gen President Francis Giles Puno described geothermal development as patient capital. One that confronts uncertainty at the start in order to secure something lasting at the other end.
