HIYAS 2023 Poster Submission
Participant: Ten Escara (AB-IMC)
Explanation: Our mother tongue allows us to connect with others better–some may find it more convenient to talk to someone else in a language they both are used to. More often than not, this has brought people closer together because of language alone. (ex. Cebuano has a closer bond with each other through the language they share (Cebuano). This bond is illustrated with two atoms in the poster

HIYAS 2023 Poster Submission:
Participant: Iris Abcede
Explanation: A message of love and pride for all languages and cultures could be written in several different languages, including Filipino, English, and other languages commonly spoken in the Philippines.
The poster could also emphasize the importance of respecting other cultures and languages, and the value of learning about them. A slogan such as "Let's celebrate diversity and embrace differences" could be included, along with images of people of different ethnicities and cultures coming together.
Overall, the poster would be a celebration of the beauty and importance of all languages and cultures, with a special emphasis on the Filipino language and culture. In our last post, we explored the importance of the Filipino language as a mode of communication. This time, we’ll take a closer look at how this was able to build the very nations we live in today by seeing how language reflects the nation's history and cultural diversity.
The words and expressions we use today are filled with rich stories derived from the experiences of our fellow countrymen. By speaking the Filipino language, we are essentially contributing to the wealth of culture and history that the Filipino language possesses. It showcases the century's worth of cumulative progress that every Filipino has and will ever contribute to our increasingly diverse culture. The Filipino language is alive, and so long as we continue to use it, it will continue to live and grow, consequently enriching our society.
