To the people celebrating the shooting of the dog and calling the shooter a hero please remember that animals cannot speak, defend themselves, or fully understand human behavior. Chasing motorcycles does not automatically mean a dog deserves to die.

Public safety matters, yes, but compassion and humanity matter too. Normalizing violence against animals and praising it online only reflects how quickly empathy is being lost. A hero saves lives whenever possible not someone who is applauded for taking one without even considering humane alternatives.

The real problem is irresponsible owners, lack of proper animal control, and abandonment. The dog did not choose that life. Before calling the killing “deserved,” ask yourself if the same situation could have been handled differently without ending a life.

Being human means having the power to protect, not just the power to harm.
