Initiated by the DILG Magdiwang, Romblon Field Office, the 1st DILG Chess Cup serves not only as a venue for competition, but also as a meaningful initiative in support of the 𝐁𝐈𝐃𝐀 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐁𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧, 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐚’𝐲 𝐀𝐲𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧).

This activity encourages individuals of all ages to engage in healthy, productive, and worthwhile activities that develop discipline, critical thinking, camaraderie, and sportsmanship — helping promote a community that is safe, active, and free from addiction and illegal drugs.

Through every move on the chessboard, we promote smarter choices, stronger character, and meaningful community involvement among the people of Magdiwang and neighboring municipalities.

Together, let us continue empowering communities through activities that inspire excellence, leadership, unity, and positive social engagement.

The DILG Romblon proudly announces the regional winners of the 2026 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) from the Province of Romblon.

The LTIA is an annual program that recognizes outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa for their exemplary performance in the effective, efficient, and fair resolution of disputes at the barangay level, as well as their significant contributions to the implementation of the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP).
