| 𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗣𝗘𝗘𝗥 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦

𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐆) 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 participated in the 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙨𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 (𝙈𝙃𝙋𝙎𝙎) 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙨 conducted in two batches on March 14–15 and March 21–22, 2026, at Ati-atihan Festival Hotel.

The training was successfully conducted by the Provincial Health Office, in partnership with the Aklan Provincial Population and Gender Office (AKPPGO), through the Aklan Peer Educators from the municipalities of Banga, Kalibo, New Washington, and Balete.

The program aims to empower youth to promote mental well-being, support their communities, and foster a culture of understanding and care for mental health.

Being a peer educator is about sharing voices, stories, and actions that encourage others to grow, speak up, and believe in themselves. From shared goals to shared smiles — HUGPONG Peer Educators wrapped up the year together, honoring every effort and every lesson along the way last December 30, 2025.

Indeed, time flies too fast. We met not long ago, yet we are here today celebrating our year-end party together. Cheers to happiness and success in the year 2026! May our organization be filled with great ideas and opportunities so we can grow and strive for betterment. May 2026 be filled with good news and goals accomplished, and lastly, may our HUGPONG family stand as one for generations.

𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁

Holding Unity for Great Pace of New Generation (HUGPONG) gathered with other peer educators in Aklan during the 𝐀𝐤𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫'𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝟑 on October 28 at the Aklan Training Center, Old Buswang, Kalibo, Aklan.

The event was spearheaded by the Provincial Federation of Peer Educators on Adolescent Health and Development (AHD) with the theme "𝘔𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘈𝘬𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨" to celebrate youth involvement, empower young voices, and promote the spirit of solidarity towards a community of healthy adolescents.

The organization participated in various activities, including the AkOne Population Quiz Bee, Advocacy Video Contest, Peer Ed Got Talent, and the Search for Mr. and Ms. Peer Educator.

John Robertson Flaviano and Jennelyn Bechayda, Peer Educators of New Washington, confidently represented the municipality in the Mr. and Ms. Peer Educators 2025.

HUGPONG, led by Kristine Grace Peñaflor, President, were accompanied by Adolescent Health and Development Adviser, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐂𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚, 𝐑𝐍 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐬. 𝐆𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐲𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐬, 𝐑𝐍.

The Peer Educators of New Washington extend their gratitude to the 𝘔𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦 (𝘔𝘏𝘖), headed by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚, 𝐎𝐈𝐂-𝐌𝐇𝐎 and 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚-𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨, 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 for her steadfast support.

𝟯𝟬 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻, 𝗔𝗸𝗹𝗮𝗻 were prepared and trained in the 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒅𝒐𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 on August 23-24, 2025, held at the SB Session Hall, Poblacion, New Washington, Aklan.

This informative and fun-filled training was held by the Municipal Health Office, in collaboration with the 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻, headed by the ever-supportive Municipal Mayor, Atty. Shimonette Peralta-Francisco, 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 headed by Ms. Cathline Roy C. Ruance, and 𝗔𝗸𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 in their commitment to improve the health awareness of adolescents and empower them with skills to provide support to their peers.

This batch of peer educators will be a new addition to the growing 𝐻𝑜𝑙𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑈𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝐺𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡 𝑃𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑁𝑒𝑤 𝐺𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 (𝐻𝑈𝐺𝑃𝑂𝑁𝐺) family.

The 𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 capped off their 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐇𝐘𝐎) 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 with an interactive session at Montfort Technical Institute yesterday, August 8, 2025.

This final leg was made possible through the support of Bro. John Britto, FSG of MTI; the guidance of HUGPONG advisers Mr. Emmanuel Andrade, RN, and Ms. Herlyn Cuesta, RN; and the collaboration of the Local Youth Development Office, headed by Ms. Cathline Roy Ruance.

Through interactive activities, open conversations, and peer-led sharing, the program inspired students to understand themselves better, respect their peers' differences, and make informed choices that protect their well-being.

The entire team reminded the students that they are worthy to be cared for and every choice they make is a way of honoring themselves.

On August 7, 2025, the 𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 rolled out the 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐇𝐘𝐎) 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 at Candelaria National High School, opening doors for students to express themselves, connect, and grow.

This day was fueled by the unwavering support of Mrs. Clarissa B. Recibe, School Principal II of CNHS; the heartfelt mentorship of our HUGPONG advisers; and the united efforts of partners committed to empowering the youth.

Every student and individual deserve to be heard, valued, and understood — and we’re here to make it happen with you.

The 𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 held a 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐇𝐘𝐎) 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 at Pinamuk-an Integrated Farm School on August 6, 2025, offering a space where students could learn, reflect, and connect.

The session was made possible through the support of Sir Louie P. Rebutar, Head Teacher III of PIFS, the consistent involvement of the HUGPONG Advisers, and the collaboration of partners committed to uplifting the youth.

Through group activities and open conversations, students were guided in building healthy habits, managing their emotions, and making responsible choices — all rooted in self-awareness and understanding.

A reminder to take time to know yourself, respect every story, and choose what’s best for the future you deserve.
