🌾USBONG🌾
This Terno (1920-1930) inspired by the blooming of a flower, which is compared to the life of farmers. Just like a flower that has its own time to grow and bloom, farmers also wait patiently and work hard to grow their crops and see the results of their labor.
The Camisa and Pañuelo features embroidered flowers and leaves that symbolize nature and the beginning of new life. And the sobre palda symbolize as the healthy land and the saya adds a simple yet balanced design to the overall attire.
Overall, this terno represents growth, perseverance, and hope, reflecting the life and hard work of farmers.🌾

“SERPENTINA” STYLE OF THE LATE 1900S TO EARLY 1910S PHILIPPINE TRAJE DE MESTIZA
"BAGONG SIBOL"🌾
Bagong Sibol Symbolizes new beginnings and hope, much like newly planted rice rising from the soil. By placing the farmers at the heart of this piece, the designer honored their resilience and perseverance, celebrating them as the true source of life, growth, and prosperity in the countryside.
This Dress is inspired by Francisco Amorsolo’s painting Planting Rice and is dedicated to the hardworking farmers of Nueva Ecija. The Dress reflects the warmth and light found in Amorsolo’s rural scenes, while its soft silhouette and flowing fabrics echo the harmony between people and the land. More than just a symbol of elegance, the Traje de Mestiza represents the dignity, patience, and strength of Filipino farmers who nurture the fields and sustain the nation.
