Advisory re: Cotabato Airport Closure

Cancelled Flights Due to Closure of Cotabato Airport Runway
As of August 11, 2023; 8:00 AM


Cebu Pacific will continue to suspend its operations in Cotabato until further notice due to pending completion of asphalt overlay repairs at the runway of Cotabato's Awang Airport.

The following flights will not operate:

• 5J 885/886 Manila – Cotabato – Manila
• 5J 887/888 Manila – Cotabato – Manila

Passengers booked to travel Manila-Cotabato and Cotabato-Manila will be rerouted and accommodated on flights to/from Davao International Airport.

CEB will operate the following recovery flights until August 23:

Effective August 19 – 23, DAILY
• 5J 995 Manila – Davao (ETD 1:35 PM, ETA 3:35 PM)

Effective August 19 – 23, DAILY (EXCEPT MONDAY)
• 5J 956 Davao – Manila (ETD 4:05 PM, ETA 6:05 PM)

Effective August 21, MONDAY
• 5J 956 Davao – Manila (ETD 4:05 PM, ETA 5:55 PM)

If this option is not suitable for you, you may also choose any of the following options through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website https://www.cebupacificair.com/manage-booking:

1. Flight Rebooking / Rerouting

Rebook or reroute to any flight bound for Davao, Pagadian, and General Santos for free. However, if the travel period extends beyond thirty (30) days from the original flight date, a fare difference will be applied.

2. Travel Fund

Store the amount in a virtual CEB wallet and use this to either book a new flight or pay for add-ons (example: baggage allowance, seat selection, etc.)

3. Refund

The process may take up to two (2) months from the date of request.

We will provide updates, as necessary.

Philippine budget airline, Royal Air Philippines, is set to launch a regular direct flight from Davao to Hong Kong this Friday, August 4, 2023, as announced by Mindanao Development Authority (MinDa) Secretary Maria Belen Acosta during a press conference held on Monday, July 31 at SM City Davao.
