On April 30, 2026, the College of Information Technology and Engineering brought together its student leaders for a day dedicated to growth and collaboration. Organization reports opened the event, giving each group the chance to present accomplishments, ongoing projects, and future plans, fostering transparency and shared direction across the department.

The program continued with leadership‑focused seminars designed to strengthen communication, management, and problem‑solving skills. These sessions equipped participants with practical insights and strategies they could apply within their respective organizations, reinforcing the importance of adaptability and teamwork in student leadership.

To balance the learning, the day concluded with fun and engaging team‑building activities. These challenges encouraged creativity, trust, and unity, reminding everyone that strong leadership is built not only through formal training but also through shared experiences. By the end of the event, CITE’s organizations left more connected, more capable, and more inspired to lead with excellence.

𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 (𝗡𝗗𝗠𝗖) earned global recognition after ranking 47th worldwide in the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) under the category 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙄𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙙.

The recognition marked NDMC’s first-ever achievement in the prestigious international ranking, highlighting the institution’s commitment to innovation, community engagement, and transformative education.

The recognition was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗥𝗗𝗖), 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗘), 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, with the RDC leading the application process alongside participating offices.

A major contributor to the recognition was the implementation of the 𝗧𝗲𝗸𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗼 Program, a community-centered extension initiative that brought technology education and digital empowerment to underserved communities. Through the program, students, faculty members, and extension workers conducted outreach activities that equipped communities with practical technological knowledge and digital skills.

For CITE, the recognition reflected the department’s dedication to community extension and service-oriented innovation through the active participation of faculty members, student volunteers, and partner offices.

The achievement also became a source of pride for everyone behind the initiative, whose collective efforts contributed to NDMC’s international milestone.
