In response to the strong need and increase of highly qualified IT Professionals in the Philippines, the Philippine National IT Standards (PhilNITS) Foundation, Inc., will be conducting a seminar on the PhilNITS Certification Exams through the initiative of the Information-technology Promotions Agency (IPA) of Japan. This will be held on Monday. August 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Marco Polo Davao.

This seminar is commissioned by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan and will be conducted by Ms. Ma. Corazon M. Akol, President of PhilNITS Foundation, and Mr. Kenji Ogawa, Vice President, IT HRD Headquarters Information Technology Promotion Agency (IPA).

The gap between supply and demand of ICT talent must be bridged and can be bridged. That was the main point addressed by DSII's President in the Academe and Industry Forum held at UM's sprawling Matina campus. Joining him in the forum was Ariel Nengasca, DTI's focal person on ICT concerns.
