YES-O Mapandan NHS

𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁.

Some lights are not meant to burn but to lead with an enduring radiance even when the world grows dim. They remind us that clarity begins not in noise but in awareness, in the quiet courage to choose what keeps us safe and what keeps us whole. For in every mindful choice, no matter how small, becomes part of a glow that guides others toward the same light.

Every November, that light takes form through the nation’s shared call for awareness and compassion through the 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 (DAPC) 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 under Proclamation No. 124, s. 2001, with the theme “𝗦𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘀, 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗮𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻.” It reminds us that strength is not found in defiance alone but in gentleness, in choosing to care when indifference is easier, in guarding health as both a right and responsibility, in turning away from harm not out of fear but out of love for what still matters.

To value health is to nurture the life that breathes within us, to protect what time has given, and to honor the body that carries our dreams. To turn away from drugs is not simply to refuse; it is to stand firm with the people who wait, in the places that heal, and within the version of ourselves that still believes in better days.

And somewhere within those choices, light grows: 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁, 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.

It spreads through hands that hold, through words that comfort, through hearts that never stop hoping. For every person who chooses compassion over escape, 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻, 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗺, 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻.

Because light was never meant to be distant. It was always meant to be ours — 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽, 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝘆.
