More than just an awe-inspiring island, it is a protected marine sanctuary and a thriving home to rich biodiversity—both above and below the water. What makes the island truly special is not only its natural beauty, but the principles by which it is cared for, protected, and mindfully enjoyed.

Thank you Eco Explorer and filmmaker Renzo Maano for joining our call to advocate for tamaraw conservation! This video was taken during our Biodiversity Camp to celebrate National Tamaraw Month last October.

"Ever since I started making films on wildlife, the Tamaraw has always been on top of my list... And when the opportunity to find them came, I did not hesitate :) Why? Because this is the most iconic animal that is truly Filipino. They are also the largest native land mammal that we have!
This film documents our journey across the Tamaraw’s remaining habitat in the island of Mindoro, the people protecting them, and the challenges threatening their survival.
