On this fateful day, June 12, 1898, our beloved country, The Philippines, declared its independence from Spanish Colonial Rule. On the same day, the Philippine Flag was unfurled for the first time, and the aspirations of our nation yearning for freedom were finally proclaimed.

As we celebrate this historic milestone, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the many heroes who bled and fought for our Freedom and Independence. May we continue to uphold the Filipino values of resilience, unity, and love for our country.

Always remember that Kalayaan is not a gift from the past, but it is a duty that we must carry into the future for many years to come.
