Sharing some photos I took for the July issue of Locale magazine. All of these cats and dogs were rescued and are either already adopted or still available for adoption.

Natural light is the best light. These turned out great!

I had a great time taking photos of children at the Philippine Children's Medical Center the other day. Thanks to Pilar Trigo Bonnin for inviting me. Thanks to the Kythe foundation. Thanks to all the other crew members and volunteers that day.

We had a fiesta in my neighborhood recently and I had a chance to take photos of many of the amazing fire-breathing street performers. They were using kerosene for their fuel! They also dance to the music of a band that usually accompanies them but I was after their fire.

I recently had the chance to shoot a wedding of some good friends of mine in Virginia. I had such a great time and I think you can tell that they were having the time of their lives. Up until now I have been hesitant to throw my hat into the arena that is wedding photography but after this experience I have decided that it's a really cool gig and would like to offer my services as a wedding photographer to all those interested. Good luck and best wishes to these newlyweds! You guys were awesome and the party was a blast!

It was absolutely my pleasure to work with Pilar Tuason, Sofia Genato, Bing Basit, Bella Luce, Tracey Heppner, Inna Cristobal, Don Jose Romulo Davies, Richard Visco, Joseph Rudio, Nadia Shiva, Carmela Jimenez and ALL the other people that I did not get to meet because it was so crazy yesterday at Pilar's photoshoot event "Portraits Of Love" at the Philippine Children's Medical Center. We worked with the Kythe organization which is a non-profit organization that provides psychosocial care to children with chronic illness, particularly those with cancer. After we took the photos they were printed on the spot by Epson so the children and families could take home a framed photo. I had a GREAT time and I'm pretty sure that everyone involved had a great time also.

It's been a few years since I shot a roll of film and to be honest I fell into that trap of believing that it would be too much of a hassle compared to my new digital life. OK, it was a LITTLE bit more of a hassle but it was worth it. It is possible to spend just as many hours on the computer as you do in the darkroom and in the end you have this beautiful, tangible result. I implore those of you that haven't tried developing your own film and making your own prints to learn and keep this art for yourselves and to teach it to our successors.
