On 26 May 2026, The Coast Guard Logistics System Command (CGLSC), headed by Rear Admiral Marco Antonio P Gines, conducted an Informative Program Visit at the Naval Logistics Center (NLC). The activity builds on the Commandβs recent logistics development initiative with another major service command, reinforcing CGLSCβs commitment to enhancing logistics coordination, operational readiness, and institutional collaboration across the countryβs defense and security organizations.
NLC briefed the delegation on its operational functions, organizational structure, and core logistics capabilities β including supply distribution, inventory management, storage operations, transportation services, maintenance support, and disposal management.
Captain Perceeval O Buted, NLC Commander, emphasized the critical role of efficient logistics systems in sustaining operational effectiveness and achieving mission goals. Rear Admiral Marco Antonio P Gines noted that this visit further advances efforts to integrate best practices, drive modernization initiatives, and prioritize continuous professional development in logistics operations and support systems.
NLC provided overviews of its major divisions: Supply Distribution, Ready Store, POL Management, Disposal, and Port Terminal Operations Group (PTOG). Discussions focused on operational procedures, supply management practices, warehousing protocols, accountability systems, material preservation, transportation processes, and disposal of unserviceable equipment. CGLSC also shared its own organizational structure and logistics functions to facilitate knowledge exchange.
The delegation toured NLC facilities, observing warehouse operations, storage systems, and disposal procedures firsthand β gaining valuable insights into operational efficiency, resource management, accountability measures, and logistics sustainability.
The visit concluded with an open forum where personnel from both organizations exchanged ideas, addressed operational concerns, and shared recommendations for improving logistics coordination.
The activity strengthened institutional collaboration, expanded shared knowledge, and reaffirmed mutual commitment to excellence in logistics management and public service.

The Coast Guard Logistics Systems Command (CGLSC) formally announces the successful completion of the inaugural Automotive Servicing National Certificate II (NC II) training program conducted by its Sub-Unir, the Coast Guard Logistics Training Institute (CGLTI), in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) NCR CAMANAVA District.
This initiative operationalizes a signed Memorandum of Agreement between CGLTI and TESDA, with the primary objective of elevating the technical competencies of PCG personnel while enhancing their long-term employability. The program establishes a critical link between the operational requirements of the PCGβs maritime logistics framework and national technical-vocational standards, directly supporting the serviceβs mandate to safeguard the Philippinesβ maritime domain and serve the Filipino people.
The training equips participants with industry-recognized proficiency in automotive maintenance and repair, ensuring the PCGβs land transport fleet β an essential component of its core operational infrastructure β maintains optimal performance and reliability. The development of in-house technical capabilities guarantees uninterrupted mobility for personnel, expedited deployment of assets during emergency response operations, and consistent transportation support for coastal security patrols, maritime safety initiatives, and environmental protection activities throughout the archipelago. These enhancements strengthen the PCGβs overall operational readiness while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime across all command levels.

The Coast Guard Logistics Systems Command (CGLSC) bursts with pride as it congratulates two of its esteemed Senior Non-Officer Leaders, Chief Petty Officer Jennifer S Capisen and Chief Petty Officer Maricris M Borero, on their successful graduation from the Coast Guard Non-Officerβs Senior Executive Course (CGNOSEC) Class 06-2025. The momentous ceremony took place today at Coast Guard Base Farola, Muelle Dela Industria, Binondo, Manila.
Among 40 exceptional students from across the Philippine Coast Guard, both of them showcased the remarkable talent and dedication that have made them pillars of the CGLSC. Their completion of this intensive leadership program marks a significant leap forward in their careers, arming them with advanced strategic skills and operational expertise vital to advancing the Commandβs mission of delivering seamless logistics support to the entire PCG organization.
Chie Petty Officer Capisen earned well-deserved distinction by securing 3rd place in the classβa feat that reflects her unwavering commitment to excellence, sharp analytical abilities, and deep passion for serving the Filipino nation. Chief Petty Officer Borero also excelled, ranking 12th overallβdemonstrating exceptional professionalism and a strong drive for continuous improvement throughout the course.
