Exploring Shared Extended Reality Experiences for Flood Emergency Response Planning

How do we plan for floods when lives and time are on the line?
And more importantly, how do we plan together?

💡 Meet RoutScape, an XR system designed to help local government units (LGUs) and disaster response teams co-create, visualize, and simulate flood emergency plans in shared, immersive space.

We asked:
📍 How can extended reality support collaborative sensemaking for flood risk management?
🤝 Can immersive tools help bridge the gaps between DRRM councils, responders, and communities?

Built with input from LGUs across Bacoor, Pasig, Marikina, and Quezon City, and even UP Resilience Institute, RoutScape was co-designed to bring flood maps, population data, and evacuation plans into one interactive system making emergency planning more visual, hands-on, and team-driven.

From terrain to topography, from simulation to gesture control, this is local disaster planning reimagined.
