HANDSTANDS WORKSHOP IN MAKATI!
Strength In Motion - Exploratory Movement Playgroup, in partnership with CrossFit Mad Minute, presents UPSIDE DOWN: A Starter's Workshop to on May 7, 2016, Saturday from 9am to 4pm.
Learn how to properly warm up, from the ground movements involving balance, joint rehab and prehab, floor drills for a hollow body, headstand and crow stand movements, body line drills, wall drills, to a free-balancing handstand, handstand walks and more!

UPSIDE DOWN - A STARTER'S WORKSHOP TO HANDSTANDS at CROSSFIT INSURRECTO
On May 23, 2015, Saturday, from 1 to 430pm, Strength in Motion - Movement Exploratory Playgroup will be holding a starter's handstand workshop with Crossfit Insurrecto (located at Il Terrazzo, Tomas Morato Ave, QC). In the workshop, the playgroup aims to share the philosophies, personal insights and the beginning methodology behind learning how to do a freestanding handstand in the context of adult learning - especially to those starting from scratch, without any gymnastics or related movement discipline practice teaching the skill.
The program leads, Michael Ng, Ken Tan and Flynn Siy have had no formal gymnastics or any related movement discipline practice when they started learning in their 30's and 40's. They've managed to execute handstands through the teachings of great teachers + lots of research and reflection + a lot of hardwork and dedication. There are only two things to take away from the said statements, 1) it's not impossible even for 'oldies' to learn, 2) learning how to do a handstand is interesting enough for a few busy old folks to learn it.
