Hype! Hype! Hurray!! Congratulations Sonny, for breaking your coach’s long standing Philippine National Marathon record.
Congratulations to National Team athlete Sonny Wagdos for breaking the Philippine national men’s marathon record with a time of 2:14:37.
He surpasses the previous record of 2:18:44, set on February 2, 2004 by his coach Eduardo Buenavista.
Kudos as well to Richard Salano, who also went under the old record with an impressive time of 2:15:08.
