This is the usual line that I usually hear when natives or even the person you're talking to doesn't understand what you're trying to say.

One possible reason is your choice of Articles.

Articles A, An, and The are helpful modifiers of your nouns and noun phrases so that listeners can easily understand and follow what you want to convey.
