The AACCUP Level I Survey Revisit for BS in Civil Engineering (Areas V & VI) and BS in Information Systems (Area V) was successfully conducted on April 27–29, 2026 through an online accreditation setup—showcasing commitment to continuous improvement and academic excellence.

The Stakeholders’ Forum on the Proposed BSA Major in Soil Science Curriculum was successfully held on April 22, 2026, via Zoom Teleconference.

𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔! 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐂. 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨, 𝘈𝘋𝘚𝘚𝘜 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵, on being re-elected as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) proudly took part in the 39th Annual National Conference and General Assembly of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), held on March 24–26, 2026 at Century Park Hotel, Manila.

Anchored on the theme, “Advancing QA: Research, Science, and Technology for Transformative Education and Sustainable Development,” the three-day event gathered SUC presidents, quality assurance leaders, and educators from across the country. It served as a valuable venue for collaboration, innovation, and the sharing of best practices in higher education.

Representing ADSSU were University President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano; Dr. Shiela G. Reyes, Director of Quality Assurance Management; Liezl May G. Perez, Chief of Curriculum Planning and Development; Dr. Sarah M. Ravelo, Dean of the College of Agriculture; and Dr. Carlo Jay P. Albite, Administrative Officer V for Quality Assurance.

ADSSU was also recognized as a recipient of Institutional Accreditation Level II Accredited Status, reflecting the University’s continuing pursuit of quality and excellence.

Through its participation in this significant assembly, ADSSU reaffirms its commitment to quality assurance, academic excellence, and steadfast support for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT), now recognized as Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU), proudly celebrates a major institutional milestone after being granted Institutional Accreditation – Level II Status by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

The recognition was formally conferred today, March 24, 2026, during the 39th AACCUP Annual National Conference and General Assembly held at Central Park Hotel, Malate, Manila. This achievement affirms the university’s steadfast commitment to quality assurance, academic excellence, and transformative education, marking a significant step forward in its continuing evolution as a higher education institution.

Complementing this recognition, the university’s accreditation status also underwent technical review and validation by the National Network of Quality Assurance Agencies (NNQAA) Inc., upon the recommendation of AACCUP. The result was officially recognized during the NNQAA Quality Assurance Summit and Conferment Ceremony held on March 5, 2026, at The Heritage Hotel Manila, further validating the institution’s compliance with national quality standards.

As a prestigious distinction among State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Institutional Accreditation is awarded to institutions that demonstrate excellence in key areas such as instruction, research, extension, and administrative support systems, affirming that ADSSU meets rigorous national standards under Level II status.

This milestone also reflects the collective dedication and shared efforts of the university’s faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders, whose commitment to excellence continues to drive institutional growth and success.

As the university continues to move forward, this achievement stands not only as a testament to what has been accomplished, but also as an enduring inspiration to pursue even greater heights in innovation, service, and academic distinction.
