According to a news outlet, a fire broke out near PUP-COC last November 3, 2020, reaching the fourth alarm and destroying around 50 houses. As per the report of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the said incident was caused by faulty electrical wiring, which is among the leading causes of fires in the country. In fact, in the first two months of the year, the BFP reported a 13% increase in fire incidents compared to last year.
