El Diablo
bobo nman kayo mag sukat ng tunog, mga tarumol.

It’s been more than a week since Palawan was battered by floods, and while the water may have subsided in some areas, the damage, and the anger, remains. What should’ve been a time for empathy, accountability, and decisive leadership was instead marked by one of the most insensitive public statements we've heard in a long time.
Richard Ligad, the City Information Officer of Puerto Princesa, decided to mock the situation rather than address it, saying:
"Bumili ng sariling weather kung ayaw bahain."
❌ When Your Job Is “Information Officer” but You Deliver Misinformation & Mockery
Ligad’s role isn’t to play stand-up comedian during a calamity. It’s to communicate facts, updates, and comfort to the public. Instead, he managed to mock victims while dodging real issues.. like why flood control infrastructure is still unfinished.
🎭 Of Jesters and Leaders
If this were a comedy bar, maybe his statement would earn a laugh (a guilty one). But he’s not holding a microphone at a punchline night, he’s holding public trust, and right now, it's sinking faster than the drainage in San Pedro.
And no, just because the sun is out and the skies are clear doesn’t mean we’re done talking. We won’t stop posting, questioning, and demanding answers. The floodwaters may have receded, but the issue hasn’t. Until every centavo is spent where it should be and every official remembers their job isn’t comedy...
we’re not letting this float away.
