On the internet, content is never removed. It's out there, only waiting to be discovered. And if you have removed content from your profile, you have no way of knowing who has seen and/or saved it. While you and other web users might not be able to see the deleted information, it is still stored somewhere. In certain instances, the material you've created no longer belongs to you.

You will reduce the amount of time you spend on the computer. You can reduce your online footprint by removing personal information from social media platforms, which reduces the likelihood of your data being shared further, but the truth is that you will never be able to fully delete yourself or your information from the internet.

Don't post a picture, a joke, a message, or a complaint online if there's even a remote chance you'll regret it later. You never know who's looking you up or why they're doing it. Anyone with the right tools and enough time will look you up and, with a little effort, find old posts you'd forgotten about.
