Empowered, Inclusive, and Informed! 💜✨

What an incredible and transformative day we had at the Learners GAD Compass this January 30 held at the Fresco Beach Resort, Masbate City. Together with the BKD President Mr. John Arman D. Adano, SSLG President Ms. Angel Alvarez, Maolingon SSLG President Ms. Christine Alvaran, and special thanks for the guidance of the SSLG teacher-adviser Ma'am Cathleen C. Relox.

Our journey toward understanding and inclusivity was guided by some truly inspiring voices. A heartfelt thank you to our resource speakers:

Mr. Christopher I. Alvarez for the eye-opening session on Gender Sensitivity through Understanding Diverse SOGIESC.

Ms. Hermione Lois B. Escarcha, DFSSLG President, for sharing the heart of the youth through Kabaitang Handog ng Kabataang Masbateño.

Ms. Divine H. Cervantes-Margallo for teaching us the vital skill of Navigating Peer Disclosures.

Ms. Dessa B. Cabatingan for the essential Learner Formation Program updates and for keeping our compass pointed toward progress.

Special gratitude to SDS Joel E. Caolboy, CESO VI, and Chief Mark Anthony H. Rupa for their leadership and for ensuring that the learners of Masbate have a safe, supportive space to grow and lead.

To the DFSSLG officers and every student leader who attended: you are the heartbeat of this movement. Let’s take these lessons back to our schools and continue to foster a culture of kindness and respect! ✊🏳️‍🌈

We, the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Organization would like to share our unforgettable 3-day Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) 2025 experience.

Together with different school organizations and different people, we faced every activity with energy, teamwork, and dedication. Even though we barely had proper sleep and went through long, tiring days, we still enjoyed the games, learned so much, and met amazing new people from different places.

A big thank you to Mayor Tintin Hao Kho for supporting this event, to all the speakers who inspired and motivated us, our SK representatives, and the facilitators who guided us every step of the way. Of course, special thanks to our army ates and kuyas—especially the 96th Infantry ‘Alab’ Battalion for guiding us, keeping us safe, and making the whole summit more meaningful.

It was tiring, but the memories, lessons, and friendships we gained made everything worth it. 💙
