Eight Malaynon residents who reached their 90th birthday between April and May 2026 were honored by the local government with โฑ90,000 cash grants and Certificates of Recognition, in line with efforts to recognize the valuable contrib
The LGU Malay distributed the benefits through house-to-house visits to personally deliver aid to the beneficiaries from different barangays across Malay and Boracay Island:

- Juanita R. Gregorio (Brgy. Balabag)
- Norma S. Torres (Brgy. Caticlan)

- Salvacion M. Tubi (Brgy. Manocmanoc)
- Desideria S. Amar (Brgy. Argao)
- Lucila S. Gumboc (Brgy. Cogon)
The distribution was spearheaded by Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office Mswdo, and the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), along with barangay senior citizens presidents and local officials.
The program is mandated by Municipal Ordinance No. 466, Series of 2021, which provides cash assistance to Malay residents who reach the age of 90.
Beneficiaries and their families expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting the grant will help cover daily needs, medical expenses, and maintenance costs.
