The Malay Municipal Police Station (MPS) has issued a public advisory urging vigilance against theft, particularly in crowded areas, commercial establishments, beaches, transport terminals, and public events. While Boracay Island and the Municipality of Malay generally remain secure, opportunistic crimes persist when precautions are disregarded.

Authorities emphasize securing personal belongings by keeping bags closed and within sight in crowded locations. Valuables should not be left unattended at beaches or restaurants. Visitors are advised against displaying large amounts of cash, jewelry, or expensive gadgets publicly, recommending the use of hotel safes for important documents and valuables.

The Malay MPS encourages immediate reporting of suspicious individuals or activities. Emergency services can be reached at 911, and the Malay MPS Hotline is available at 0998-598-6122. These measures aim to reinforce public safety and maintain the secure environment of Malay and Boracay.
