Job Responsibilities

- Maintain and organize files in an orderly and current manner.
- Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications, monitors applications and follow-ups.
- Assist health plan providers and customers with phone inquiries.
- Ensure the accuracy of information.
- Screen practitioner's applications and supporting documentation to ascertain their eligibility.
- Identify the discrepancies in information and conduct follow-ups.
- Ensuring data is backed up
- Capturing primary source documentation in the computer database.
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and policies.
- Responsible for organizing, maintaining and verifying all aspects of the credentialing process for healthcare practitioners in a health care-related facility.
- In charge of contacting medical office staff and insurance providers, as well as communicating with healthcare administrators to maintain up-to-date files on physicians, technicians, and nurses
-Responsible for answering inquiries regarding providers credentials status and working with colleagues to ensure the accuracy of all the files by tracking the expiration of licenses and certifications
-Other tasks my be given

Qualifications

- Must be a graduate of four years of medical-allied courses
- Know how to use a variety of programs, including word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Requires strong organization, time management.
-Ability to concentrate on highly detailed work. Excellent administrative skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work with confidential information, including financial and contractual arrangements.
