“Amicus Curiae,” Latin for “friend of the court,” refers to a person or organization that is not a party to a legal case but is permitted to assist a court by offering information, expertise, or insight that has a bearing on the issues in the case.
In 2025, MBC strengthened its engagement with government through the Government Dialogue Series, meeting with then Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno, and DA Secretary Kiko Tiu Laurel Jr. to discuss key tax and fiscal matters, modernization of customs processes, and private-sector collaboration in agriculture. MBC also engaged with local leaders, including Bataan 2nd District Representative Abet Garcia, Hermosa Mayor Anne Inton, and Iligan City Mayor Frederick Siao, to support local economic development and advance initiatives on ease of doing business, access to information, and sustainability, among others.
Through these dialogues, MBC expressed its full support to help advance national socioeconomic priorities.
