| POWER OF CIVILIAN PRESSURE

Forty years ago, in February 1986, millions of Filipinos filled the streets of EDSA, armed not with weapons, but with faith, courage, and hope. They stood shoulder to shoulder, priests beside students, nuns beside soldiers, parents with their children — united by one cry: freedom.

The People Power Revolution became a shining moment in our history — a peaceful uprising that proved the strength of unity. It was a movement that inspired the world, reminding everyone that true power lies not in force, but in the collective voice of the people.

As we commemorate the 40th anniversary of EDSA, let us remember that democracy is not a gift we receive once — it is a responsibility we carry everyday. Let us continue to protect the truth we fought for, to stand for justice, and live out the spirit of bayanihan that made such a momentous occasion possible.

Remember, the power of the people will always be stronger than the people in power.

Before the onset of the activity, Kalasaglahi members were initially grouped with their clusters. For the rest of the period, participants had to raise their placards to answer 20 multiple choice-type questions revolving around Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Thereafter, scores were tallied and yielded the following results:
1st: Empowerment - 15 pts.
2nd: Education - 12 pts.
3rd: Energizer - 10 pts.
4th: Engagement - 8 pts.

Congratulations to the Empowerment Cluster leading the score board. 🎉 Stay tuned for future updates on Kalasaglahi’s future activities!
