07 July 2026- Building a Culture of Preparedness and Resilience at DON BOSCO Mabalacat

This morning, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, the Bosconians, Salesians and the LaMPs of Don Bosco Academy of Pampanga, Inc. gathered in a meaningful Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Symposium facilitated by the dedicated team from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of Mabalacat City.

The program formally opened with an inspiring message from our Principal, Ma'am Mia Bognot, who reminded everyone that disasters may happen to anyone, at any time, but preparedness makes all the difference. Her words emphasized that readiness, awareness, and responsibility are essential in safeguarding lives and strengthening our school community.

Throughout the symposium, the CDRRMO team equipped our learners, Salesians and Salesian Educators with valuable knowledge and practical strategies on disaster preparedness during fires, earthquakes, and floods, while also highlighting the importance of emergency response, evacuation procedures, school safety and security protocols, and the essential items every individual should have in an emergency preparedness kit. Their engaging discussions and demonstrations reinforced the significance of remaining calm, alert, and proactive in times of crisis.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the CDRRMO Mabalacat City team for their unwavering responsiveness, dedication, and commitment to promoting a culture of safety and resilience among the members of our Educative Pastoral Community, especially our Bosconians.
