Sealed during the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, this collaboration marks another meaningful step toward expanding academic opportunities, cultural exchange, and innovation for MCC students and faculty.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by 𝗠𝗖𝗖 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗗𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘇𝗺𝗮𝗻 and 𝗖𝗛𝗨 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝘂, witnessed by the UFTE Board of Director/MCC faculty representative, Ms. Jae Ann Dela Cruz, symbolizing a shared commitment to internationalization and academic excellence.

𝗠𝗖𝗖 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗮𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐔𝐏 𝐃𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲

The Confucius Institute at the University of the Philippines Diliman celebrated its 10th Anniversary on September 30, 2025, at University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City.

Mabalacat City College (MCC) was represented by key officials: Dr. Myrna Calma, Vice President for Administration; Jennyfer Merza, Vice President for External Affairs; and Dr. Joven Ocampo, Dean of the Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Since 2018, MCC has been a proud partner of the Confucius Institute in offering free Mandarin courses for students and faculty, conducted by Chinese national instructors. This collaboration has opened opportunities for cultural exchange and language learning, fostering stronger educational ties between the Philippines and China.

The anniversary celebration not only honored a decade of achievements but also reaffirmed the shared vision of MCC and the Confucius Institute in advancing global education and intercultural understanding.

𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐅 𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐎𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 formally signed a Letter of Cooperation with the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 – 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘀, 𝗢𝗺𝗮𝗻, further strengthening its commitment to international collaboration and research excellence.

The signing was held in the presence of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗲𝘀, Head of Economics and Business Administration of UTAS Shinas, Oman; 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗗𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘇𝗺𝗮𝗻, Acting President of Mabalacat City College; 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗻𝘆𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝘇𝗮, Vice President for External Affairs; and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗼, Vice President for Research and Extension Services.

This partnership marks the beginning of meaningful initiatives that include collaborative research projects, the promotion of a stronger research culture, and the conduct of an online research methodology workshop. It also sets the stage for the planned International Intercollegiate Hackathon on Sustainable Social Entrepreneurship, an innovative platform that will bring together students and researchers from different parts of the world to address pressing global challenges.

Through this cooperation, MCC continues to expand opportunities for its students, faculty, and researchers to engage in impactful academic pursuits, ensuring that the institution remains at the forefront of innovation, sustainability, and global academic excellence.
